Supervised Access Center
Service Agreement

Welcome to the Access Center Our purpose is to provide access between families and children in a safe, supervised and neutral setting. While you are using the center, you must be aware of the following and agree to it

  1. The safety of the child(ren) ts the primary focus of the center.
  2. The access facilitator may end the visit at any time if the child(ren) is/are extremely distressed, ill or at risk.
  3. It is your responsibility to be on time, to phone if you must cancel and to leave the visit room as you found it.
  4. The center is a stand alone service and your worker will not be available during your access time, unless previously arranged.
  5. In the event of inclement weather or if your child is ill or there is a problem with transportation, which is provided by volunteer drivers, the visit may be cancelled. Every effort will be made to re book the missed access time but there may be occasions when rebooking cannot be accommodated Similarly. When you need to cancel a visit due to unforeseen circumstances, we may not be able to rebook the visit. Visits will be "held" for 15 minutes after which time they will be cancelled if all parties are not in attendance.
  6. Drugs (aside from prescription medications), alcohol and weapons are not permitted in the access center at any time and you will be expelled from the center if you are in possession of them. Your eligibility for use of the center will then be reviewed.
  7. The center is a non-smoking facility. We ask that you do not smoke during your access visits.
  8. Attendance at the access center in an impaired condition will result in the immediate cancellation of your access visit and a review of your eligibility for use of the center.
  9. Any acts of violence, breach of security or attempt to remove your child(ren) form the center without consent, will result in a call to the police and immediate cancellation of your access.
  10. The Access Facilitator is present as per the order of the court. It is their job to record the details of the visit. The information will be sent to your worker.
  11. The use of recording devices while in the center during an access visit is strictly prohibited.
  12. You must structure your visit time to allow for adequate clean up time and sufficient time to prepare your child(ren) for departure.
